BORROWED CROWN
The Crown Is Not the Glory | A Biblical Cinematic Oratorio
A king clothed in dazzling silver. A crowd crying out that he is a god. A sudden silence—and a sobering encounter with the judgment of heaven.
Inspired by Acts 12:20–24 and the historical account of King Herod Agrippa I recorded by Josephus, Borrowed Crown brings a dramatic biblical moment to life through thundering trumpets, ancient flutes, sweeping orchestration, spoken narration, and majestic choirs.
But this is more than the story of a fallen king. It is a call to every pastor, leader, and believer to remember that no earthly crown, title, ministry, or human achievement deserves the worship belonging to Jesus Christ alone.
The song contrasts Herod's acceptance of divine praise with Peter's humility, reminding us to honor God's servants without placing them upon God's throne.
“Honor the servant; worship God alone!”
And when earthly glory fades, the Word of God continues to grow and multiply.
The crown is not the glory. The glory is the Lord's!
